Cursed Village (2025)

Synopsis

At the foot of Mount Wanxiang lies Heidingzi Village, home to the three Xie brothers. One particularly harsh winter, the second brother defies the family’s ancestral taboo and ventures deep into the mountains to dig for ginseng. Soon after his return, he dies under mysterious circumstances. The villagers believe his death was no accident — that by violating the mountain’s sacred rule, he has provoked the wrath of the mountain god, bringing a deadly curse upon himself and the village. Blending folklore, mystery, and rural myth, the film unfolds a haunting tale of faith, fear, and the invisible bond between humankind and nature.
