Biography
Soviet Russian circus artist (balancer, acrobat, clown). Honored Artist of the Belarusian SSR (1954). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (10/15/1958). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1963). People's Artist of the USSR (1969). Hero of Socialist Labor (12/20/1979). In 1928, he began working in the circus (gymnast on the rings, then the leader and participant in the group acrobatic number “4-ZhAK”, since 1937 he also acted as a White Clown). In 1930-1941, and since 1945, he performed in circus chapitos of Minsk, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Gomel and other cities of Belarus. In 1950, he created a unique number - balancers on a double staircase, performed record tricks with partners.
