Synopsis
The series started off with the Bak family being hunted down by the people of the martial arts world. They are a well-known family and consist of 5 members: the father--Bak Fung Tin, the mother, and their 3 children: Jin Man, Yuk Ying, and Jin Mo. Fung Tin was said to have murdered the leaders of 4 powerful sects, so the head of the martial arts world ordered that his whole family be killed.

Offering the four clans' kung fu as the bait, Chi Pu-fan orders the various clans to pursue and kill the Pai family. The Pai's family of 5 scatters and flees. In their desperation, Yu-ying remembers how her father moved out mysteriously and becomes shaken in her conviction of his innocence. Suspected by his own children. Feng-tien tries to make them believe him, but fails to give details. When Chan-wu is unconvinced, he tells them how the incident happened.
