Or suddenly a radioactive stork appears in the middle of the night with a present. But if none of this works, Mommy can get into a radioactive gamma-ray machine and blow it up. Yes, nuclear power was the great technological breakthrough of the 1950s and so it was the inspiration for a whole generation of heroes. Probably the heroes of this century will emerge from watching too many kitten memes on Facebook, or because they been putting little Bambi filters on their faces on Snapchat or even because they spent most of their time playing Pokemon Go.
