Synopsis
Spin-off series following the first year of marriage for the characters from The A Word (2016). Young couple Ralph and Katie face the domestic challenges faced by all newlyweds, but with the added fact that they have Down's Syndrome.

When Katie invites recently dumped friend Emma to stay, Ralph soon feels pushed out. Their newly hired PA, Danny, tries to help, but things backfire and Ralph must win Katie back.

A mysterious Valentine’s card for Katie sends Ralph’s imagination into overdrive. Is it from the man who broke her heart? Meanwhile, Emma organises a Valentine’s fundraiser.
Babysitter's Club
When Ralph injures his foot, Katie is determined to ‘be a wife’ and look after him. But she, Danny and Tom soon find out that looking after people can be harder than they thought.
Empty Nest
All is not well between Katie’s parents, and she worries that it might be her fault. Meanwhile, Ralph falls out with Brian when he decides to paint the couple’s fence without asking them.

An unexpected health problem for Ralph prompts him and Katie to think about the future. Danny and Emma also make some big decisions.
The Motherships Have Landed
