Five Kiwi teams of two gamble with the most important possession in their lives: their home. Each week one team hands over the keys to their home to host Duncan Heyde, to be renovated by their rival teams in just five and half days.

Episode 1
Five teams put their homes on the line for a whole house renovation in five and a half days. They must follow five house rules as they compete for a life changing prize.
Episode 2
On House Rules New Zealand, conflicting design choices see teams struggling to create a cohesive home. With four days left, can they work together to complete newlyweds Jemma and Alvaro's home?
Episode 3
Teams deliver their zones for judging and homeowners Jemma and Alvaro see their completely renovated home for the first time. There's smiles and tears as scores are revealed.

Andre and Martinique handover the keys to their rundown 1940s home for the second renovation. New house rules and a five and half day deadline ups the pressure on the teams.

It's the final day of redo renos. A special judge joins Michael and Katrina to decide who will be eliminated and which two teams will battle it out to win $100,000 off their mortgage.

With $100,000 off their mortgage at stake, Jemma and Alvaro, and Martinique and Andre give their outdoor areas a last push before a dramatic judging decides the winning team.
