The Vanishing Man (1997)
Synopsis
The Vanishing Man is a 1998 British television programme created by Anthony Horowitz for ITV, and starring Neil Morrissey as Nick Cameron, wrongly imprisoned for smuggling plutonium, who used it for medical research – it turns him invisible when in contact with water. Having escaped from prison, his powers are then utilised by a government agency. The six-episode series is a sequel to the 1997 TV movie of the same name.

Nick Cameron, serving time for a crime he didn't commit, is chosen for experiments for suntanning lotions. What he doesn't realise is that there's a hidden agenda and it's only until he touches water that he finds what the experiment really is.
Nobody Does It Better
The head of the original Gyges project is now confined to a lunatic asylum, having been made permanently invisible, he's gone insane. Ms Jefferies is lying low, while Moreau and Dr Connor face a desperate race to find a cure for the Head. A cure which Nick can help with, if only they could find him.
Not Fade Away
Nick is suffering from paranoia that he will turn invisible permanently. Moreau calls Nick and asks for his help in protecting Peter Randall, the prosecution's star witness in a what may turn out to be the longest running trial in British history.
Nothing Up My Sleeve
Nick is now working as a plain clothes store detective, and bumps into an old flame who agrees to have dinner with him. Sadly she tells him that she's getting married and wants him to come to the wedding! Nick then helps a magician devoid of talent improve his act.
Out on a Limb
Some dangerous criminals have escaped from jail thanks to Brian Mantel, a man no-one has been brave enough to testify against. Nick is asked to help watch a man the police think Brian will try and spring next. Nick persuades Joe to help him, but both wind up behind bars. Alice visits Nick, but all he wants to know is if she's kissed Kim, the latest man in her life.
Spooks
Sara Middington is a newly married woman who is convinced her house is haunted. Nick and Alice go along to investigate, and much to Nick's annoyance so does Joe. Getting hopelessly lost on the way to the house they eventually arrive, only to find that Sara became Mrs. Middington only two months after the previous Mrs Middington died...
Retribution
Alice asks Nick to help her trace a thief at her local gym who has been stealing things from the woman's changing room. Joe immediately offers his help as well. Meanwhile Ms. Jefferies visits the Head in his cell, after which there is an explosion. He escapes leaving the words ""Kill Cameron"" on his wall...
