Friendly and respected pharmacist, recently widowed, starts to pressure his young assistant to be more than his assistant. She has her own troubles with her ex-husband, a cop with drinking problems, wanting to have more time with their son. Seemingly accidental deaths lead Helen West to probe further than the police, even her boy-friend, think is warranted.
