A down-and-out salaryman, fired and divorced, lands a bizarre job requiring him to fake a marriage with a stranger to save the world.

Episode 1
After losing everything, desperate businessman Bunta interviews at the Nonamare Company. The CEO, Kizashi, asks him to take a mysterious pill.
Episode 2
Bunta becomes an esper at the company Nonamare and takes on a mission to save the world. His new mission is to 'prevent a certain painter from reaching his destination'.
Episode 3
Bunta discovers the existence of Osuke's son and the secrets of Enjaku and the others. Getting ever closer to Shiki, Bunta is given a new mission: to prevent an explosion at the shrine.
Episode 4
Bunta worries that Shiki will become an Esper after accidentally swallowing an e-capsule. Ichimatsu, a student who loves takoyaki, comes to Takoppi.
Episode 5
After losing everything, Bunta, a desperate businessman, interviews at the Nonamare Company. His CEO, Kizashi, asks him to take a mysterious pill.
Episode 6
Shiki meets with Kizashi; rattled by the revelation that their actions will cause 10 million deaths, Bunta and the others meet with Ichimatsu's group.
Episode 7
Ohsuke is shaken by the discovery that his flower-blooming power has turned deadly; Enjaku and Hanzo learn that a person they saved has suddenly died.
Episode 8
Kizashi dismisses Enjaku, Ohsuke and Hanzo from Nonamare but assigns Bunta a new task; the motivation behind Kizashi's world-altering plans is finally uncovered.
