Synopsis
Two ambitious journalists, Kabir and Ananya, work together at the KKN channel and eventually fall in love. However, when people plot to separate them, they have to overcome obstacles to stay together. It is the story of two people finding love in a complex and cut throat world of journalism … where there is no right or wrong way of looking at news AND life. Will Ananya and Kabir’s love survive when they find themselves on opposite sides of the debate on ethics? Passion for news brought them together. Will their ambitions tear them apart?

Ananya's Question to Kabir
Ananya along with Manav, is ready to interview the Bagi without informing her family. When stinger Pandey injects the fear of being killed into Manav’s mind, he backs out, and Rony puts Kabir into the scenario. The chemistry between Kabir and Ananya is still soar, however, Ananya allows Kabir to accompany her for the interview.
Baby's Entry Into KKN
Kabir and Ananya are being followed and tracked by Baghi’s people on their way to the interview. His aides confiscates their camera and mobile phones before they meet Baghi. Baghi is suspicious about Ananya and the famous reporter Kabir accompanying her.
Threat to Attack KKN
The interview begins, Baghi doesn't want the movie to release, and blames the system for what he is today. Everyone at the studio is worried as they haven't heard from Kabir or Ananya. Further, Baghi captivates both reporters and asks for a ransom from the government.
Ananya Ka Sting Operation
Kabir plays the situation cool, on the contrary, Ananya spills the bean by her aggresive nature. Kabir explains her being calm is the only escape tactic they have, to keep away from Baghi's crosshair. KKN broadcasts the kidnapping of both their reporters leaving Ananya's family devastated.
Kabir as Bhadresh Kutty
Baghi states his reason of being a dacoit, and reveals that he is doing all these to bring a massive change in the society.Shattered by the news, Ananya's mother and her brother reaches KKN office and is consoled by the staff. Police start their work and locate Baghi's hideout where Kabir and Ananya have been held hostage, however they manage to escape form the spot.
Junior Reporter Ka Khulasa
Kabir Sharma and Ananya Kashyap are being taken deeper into the jungles, Ananya Kashyap realizes that her locket has gone missing. Although, Kabir explains to her that he has dropped the locket on purpose, Ananya runs back in order to get her locket. Madhav and other naxalites see this and Madhav is forced to shoot Ananya in order to stop her. Meanwhile, Ananya's mother is being convinced that she is alive as her locket has been found. At the same time, the media decides to launch a mass protest to ensure the safety of Kabir and Ananya. Will Ananya meet her end at the hands of Madhav? Keep watching to know more.
Ananyas Chip
Kabir and Ananya try to untie themselves but their job is only half done as Madhav approaches them. Madhav informs them that the movie against him will be releasing in spite of all the warnings and decides to kill Kabir. Kabir, on the other hand, stands fearless and claims that Madhav is treading the wrong path and is trying to hide his crimes by prohibiting the movie from its release. Kabir by now, manages to untie himself completely and escapes Madhav's camp along with Ananya, with the help of Desu. Ananya Wants an Apology
Madhav points his gun towards Kabir and Ananya who had earlier managed to escape from him. But before he takes his shot, inspector Khurana enters the picture and rescues the reporters. The naxalites are later, arrested and almost instantly, the news of Kabir Sharma and Ananya Kashyap being safe, reaches the employees of KKN news channel.The employees begin to celebrate and moments later, Kabir and Ananya join this celebrations. Kabir Spills the Beans
Ananya's friends decide to have a party to celebrate her safe return and her mother too agrees to the party. Meanwhile, Malvika and Khalid invite Kabir to go out for dinner but Kabir decides to spend the night alone. Kabir later, turns down Ananya's invitation to the party too. Later, Ananya narrates all that had taken place during her encounter with the naxalites, to her friends, during the party. She later, hears about Kabir's divorce from her friends and gets upset. Kabir Gets the Power
Ananya and Kabir spend some time messaging each other before going to sleep and next morning, the Ananya brings a box of sweet dish for Kabir. Kabir is more than pleased to see the tiffin box in her hand and agrees to have the dish. Later, Kabir has a meeting with his staff and just then, Ananya gets a call about a lead that has developed on the roads of Delhi. She takes Kabir's permission to shoot the incident for the news channel. She ends up surprised when she realizes that this lead is about Navdeep Mahajan who wants to commit suicide as he is love with a girl whom he has not even proposed yet. Ananya reaches the office and meets all of her colleagues who seems extremely happy with her news reporting skills. Kabir too signals her with his thumb raised upwards and Ananya is pleased to see him happy. But this makes Malvika jealous. Later, Rony reaches Ananya's home and decides to take her out for dinner. Ananya agrees, but she later refuses when Kabir calls her and expresses his desire to meet her. Kabir later enters her house and starts to tell her the truth regarding her father's death. Ananya's mother arrives home and finds her daughter upset. On enquiring about the matter, Ananya produces the wallet that belonged to her father and reveals that her father is no more. Ananya's mother initially refuses to believe her daughter, but later bursts into tears. Meanwhile, Kabir seems upset as he has broken all of Ananya's hopes by informing her about her father's death. Later, in the office too, Kabir seems preoccupied by thoughts of Ananya. Rony later learns of Ananya's plight and immediately goes to his boss, Malvika, with a request to take a half day leave. Malvika and Khalid start to get worried about Kabir, who has not turned up to the office, although it is almost time for him to read the news. But fortunately, Kabir arrives on time, and reads the news. He interviews, Navdeep and Jyoti, the two young lovers who had made headlines a few days earlier. While interviewing them, he refers to Jyoti as Ananya and the entire staff is shocked to see Kabir going wrong. Kabir is admitted to the hospital. The doctor sees his reports and declares him out of danger. Khalid comes over there and talks to the physician about Kabir’s health. Ananya learns that Kabir has left for Singapore and tries to find out about the reason behind his sudden departure out of the country. However, she does not get a proper answer to her questions and she is left tensed. Meanwhile, Manav speaks to Malvika and offers her to join his team against Kabir but Malvika refuses his offer. Later, Manav heads a meeting where he distributes work to the staff. Malvika later, relieves Ananya of the interview that she was supposed to conduct of Syal. Rony finally develops enough courage and proposes his love to Ananya but Ananya gives him no answer. Later, Ananya discusses about Rony with her mother and friend and all ask her to accept Rony's proposal as he is the right guy for her. Manav appreciates Richa as she reads the news and later offers her to read a special business news too. Ananya, on the other hand, continues to remain troubled about Kabir and she goes to his office and speaks to his chair. Rony reads the letter written by Ananya for him, which explains that she wants him to be her best friend and shares no other feelings for him, unlike him. This obviously gets Ananya jealous and she walks out, upset. Ananya stands shocked when Kabir stands before her and asks her out for dinner. But Ananya feels bad when she realizes that Kabir was speaking to Malvika and not her. Later, Ananya speaks to her mother about the complications that her life is pouring upon her. Next day, Khalid informs Kabir of author Nalini Verma's arrival to India and Kabir suggests Ananya's name to handle the book launch event. Ananya meanwhile, speaks to Richa and expresses her wish to leave KKN news due to the problems in her life. While, Ananya meets Nalini and brings her to KKN office, Kabir spends time with Anurag and pampers him until a new maid named Priyanka arrives. Later, Kabir meets Nalini and she informs Kabir about the pain that she notices in Ananya's eyes. After a while, Kabir has a meeting with his staff where he distributes the responsibilities among them. Just then, he gets a call from Anurag, who makes a demand for 'baigan ka bharta'. Having no idea about the dish, he asks his staff for the recipe. When Kabir asks Ananya for the recipe, she speaks rudely and refuses to indulge in any activity not concerning her job. Anurag is pleased to see Ananya with a lunch box that contains his favorite dish, 'baigan ka bharta' in it. Anurag later, persuades Kabir to prepare coffee for Ananya while he spends time with her. Later, Ananya leaves Kabir's house and Kabir goes on to narrate a romantic tale to Anurag that has Ananya in it. Next day at office, Ananya meets Nalini whom she is supposed to interview. A while later, Manav enters Rony's office and tries to convince him to sign on the papers that will help him replace Kabir. But Rony refuses to sign the papers. Nalini speaks to Ananya about love and advices her to invest as less as possible on emotions such as love. Later, Ananya learns that Rony has decided to leave the job, in order to stay away from her and this upsets Ananya. Malvika, on the other hand, makes a plan to get rid of Ananya who is a hinderance in her relationship with Kabir. As per Malvika's plan, Ananya gets an attractive job offer from a competing news channel. Later, Kabir is forced to replace Ananya and takes Nalini's interview. Kabir's interview with Nalini continues and he calls her act of, not trusting her lover, an act of haste. He later, brings Nalini's lover, Shekhar and Nalini is shocked to learn that Shekhar had lost his legs. Shekhar had decided to leave Nalini as he did not want to be a burden to her. Nalini realizes her mistake and repents as she apologizes to Shekhar. After the interview concludes, Ananya leaves the office and Malvika seems happy. Kabir has confessed about his feeling to Ananya. Ananya has accepted Kabir’s proposal. Kabir was supposed to deliver a speech but he was missing. Manav informs Malvika that Kabir is busy in something more important than delivering a speech, and has said him to deliver the speech on his behalf. Kabir gets angry with Ananya when she enters the meeting room, in between his conference, to secretly express his intense love for him. He tries to explain to her that she needs to maintain the decorum of the office, but Ananya is too excited in love to listen to what Kabir is trying to explain. Later, it is time for Trisha to read her last piece of news at KKC news channel as she will now be leaving the channel to start a new life. Trisha gets emotional when she bids her collegues farewell. Ananya pleads with Malvika to let Inspector Khurana's telephonic call go live and Malvika finally agrees. After completing the news session, Kabir goes straight to Ananya and shouts at her for having put the reputation of the news channel in danger by not providing the chip that had the proof to support her sting operation. Ananya and her colleagues however, are certain that Ananya's chip has been stolen by Malvika. Ananya later goes to Malvika's cabin and asks her for the chip but Malvika refuses to have any knowledge of it. Malvika later, throws the chip into the dustbin but a while later, she hides it in her drawer instead. Later, Kabir drives Ananya home but the two of them get into an argument on the way. Ananya and Kabir's cold war continues and this cold war carries on even during the meeting that is presided by Kabir. As Kabir goes on to distribute responsibilities, Malvika observes that something is wrong between Kabir and Ananya. Kabir meets Ananya's mother and the two of them speak about Kabir and Ananya's relationship. After speaking to Ananya's mother for a while, Kabir manages to convince her to accept this relationship. Kabir later reaches the office and informs Ananya that her mother has accepted their relationship. Ananya gets excited and hugs Kabir. Manav sees the intimacy that Kabir and Ananya share in the office but the two of them are shocked to see Manav in the office. Meanwhile, Richa does not seem to be happy with this relationship as she believes that Kabir is using Ananya but Rony does not agree with her. Malvika tries to convince Kabir to accept the proposal offered to him but Kabir continues to stick to his stand. A while later, Ananya enters the office and takes Kabir's permission to go home early. Later that evening, Kabir arrives at Ananya's home while she gets ready for her date with Kabir. Kabir and Ananya visit a restaurant where Kabir proves Ananaya, who is under the belief that Kabir not a romantic person like her, wrong. The two of them however, remain uncertain regarding the fact that Kabir's first wife has just made her entry into the KKN office.

Kabir signs the contract papers that make him a shareholder of KKN and also bind him to the company for three years. Meanwhile, Ananya is unable to keep the information to herself and she informs Rony about Kabir's new designation. Kabir however, is shocked when he realizes that he had been lured into signing the papers so that he will not be leaving the company after he learns of Shreya's re-entry into KKN as the new business head. Ananya too is surprised when she learns of Shreya being Kabir's ex-wife but she asks Kabir to think of the situation from the business point of view. Kabir gets furious with Khalid as he has been trapped by him to stay in KKN for another three years. Kabir later, goes straight to Shreya, with his resignation letter, but Shreya refuses his resignation as he is bound by the contract. Instead, she tries to make him realize what advantages the company and the two of them will be having due to her return. Kabir however, refuses to listen to Shreya and submits his resignation. Richa tries to advice Ananya but Ananya shouts at her and asks her to stay away from her personal life. She later, goes to convince Kabir to rejoin in the company but Kabir scolds her and refuses to work at KKN. Ananya speaks to Malvika and makes her realize that she will now have to be reporting to Shreya and will not be enjoying the benefits of being the superior senior. This hits Malvika hard but she realizes that this is the truth, when Khalid confirms what Ananya had said. Later, Shreya meets the staff of KKN one by one and goes on to promote Richa. The entire staff is happy to learn of Richa's promotion and later Ananya is asked to enter the office. Ananya ends up surprised when Shreya promotes her from the position of junior reporter to the post of senior reporter. Ananya however, is shocked when Kabir raises an objection to this promotion. Khalid is surprised with Ananya's decision of rejecting the promotion and he asks Richa and Rony for the possible reason behind Ananya's surprising decision. Richa and Rony act unaware and do not speak of Ananya's ongoing relationship with Kabir. Kabir meanwhile tries to speak to convince Ananya but Ananya seems to be in no mood to listen to him.
