Synopsis
The Hello Goodbye Man is a short-lived 1984 British sitcom, starring Ian Lavender as Denis Ailing, a nervous salesman struggling with his job and romantic life, particularly with his colleague Jennifer. After a chance meeting with an unscrupulous alarm salesman, Denis decides to take on board some unethical practises and see if they work for him.
Episode 5
Denis suffers from what his doctor terms a 'psychological blockage'. Overwhelmed by a lack of confidence, he's unable to close the deal in his working life — or in his relationship with Jennifer.
Episode 6
Denis and Jennifer aren't on speaking terms, causing a terrible atmosphere both in the office and at home. Even worse, two salesmen from a different department convince Denis that the best way to produce great sales figures is through lying.
