Spirit Warriors (2010)
Synopsis
Spirit Warriors is an award-winning BBC children's adventure series, broadcast on BBC Two, BBC HD and CBBC. It is the first British television drama series to have a predominantly East Asian cast. Very loosely inspired by ancient Chinese myths and legends, the show follows Bo, her sister Jen, and fellow schoolchildren Vicky, Trix and Martin who, during a trip to a museum, are transported to a parallel spirit world. Once there, they find themselves transformed into Spirit Warriors, each with his or her own special spirit power. With the help of their mentor Shen, a dragon, they have to use their new-found skills to navigate the realms of Wood, Water, Earth and Fire and find twelve legendary spirit pieces before the evil warlord Li and his henchman Hwang can get their hands on them.

Entering the world of water, the warriors discover the next spirit piece can be bought for a button and a lock of hair. The warriors worry it's too good to be true. They are right and soon they're heading to the Temple of the Four Winds to wash away a curse and to face their worst nightmares.
The Snake Pit

In search of the snake spirit piece, Bo is gravely injured. She, Martin and Trix rest in an old hut where they are tended to by a mother and daughter. But what or who caused Bo's injury? And who is the strange young man that Vicky falls for when she and Jen seek shelter in a graveyard?
Fortune Favours the Brave

The Spirit Warriors get their fortunes told by Master Wu - who foresees a mixed future of ghost dogs, dreams come true and a visit to the Labyrinth of Lost Spirits. Soon the predictions appear to come true, but are they really? And why are Li's dreams haunted by Master Wu?

Entering the Earth World, the warriors come across a cave where their favourite meals are laid out for them to eat. It is straight out of a fairy tale, as is the beautiful Madame Ching. But eventually the warriors begin to suspect that their lovely hostess hides a terrible secret.
The Cave of Ghosts

Martin, Trix and Vicky display different kinds of bravery and intelligence as they try to recover the spirit piece from the dreaded Cave of Ghosts. But will these qualities prove to be enough in a treacherous village whose every inhabitant has been destroyed by Hwang?
Wishes
Five children discover from Shen the Dragon that they are spirit warriors, on a quest to find twelve spirit pieces - if they fail, the evil Li will find them and then control the universe! The warriors head into Li's own realm of fire and quickly discover their next spirit piece in a poor woman's rubbish. However, before they leave they are persuaded by her to head to a nearby peach tree, which grants wishes. There each of the warriors eats a peach and agrees to make a wish to find the final spirit piece - but not all of the warriors keep their word. Meanwhile Li, losing patience with Hwang, unleashes a dreadful phenomenon and pursues the warriors, determined to steal all of their spirit pieces, and in a world of fire there is no water, so not even Shen can help them.
Blood of a Warrior
Five children discover from Shen the Dragon that they are spirit warriors, on a quest to find twelve spirit pieces - if they fail, the evil Li will find them and then control the universe! As the quest concludes the warriors are helped by an unlikely ally in the form of Hwang. Feeling betrayed by his master Li, Hwang changes sides and presents the warriors with a secret document before sneaking them into Li's palace. There they finally do battle with Li. But just when it looks like Li has defeated the warriors and claimed all the spirit pieces as his own, he leaves them to travel to the world of Gold so he can exact revenge upon a surprise former ally. Shocking secrets and hidden histories are finally revealed.
