Take a Girl Like You (2000)
Synopsis
Take a Girl Like You is a 2000 British comedy-drama series based on Kingsley Amis's 1960 novel of the same name. The three-part series, which aired in November and December 2000, stars Sienna Guillory and Rupert Graves. In 1959, 20-year-old Jenny Bunn moves from her North England family home to a London suburb to teach primary school. Jenny is a traditional Northern working-class girl whose striking good looks are in sharp contrast to her prosaic upbringing, and to her strong belief that a girl should preserve her virginity until her wedding night. Due of her attractiveness, Jenny's views raise conflicts.
