Saiyuki Gaiden (2011)
Synopsis
500 years before Saiyuki, a heretic child with golden eyes is brought to Heaven and given into the reluctant care of a minor deity, Konzen, nephew of the Merciful Goddess, Kanzeon Bosatsu. Konzen eventually names him "Goku". Goku befriends two other minor gods, Marshal Tenpou and General Kenren of the Western Army of Heaven, and a boy who seems to be his age, the War Prince Nataku. Though Goku is happy in his new home, Heaven is not kind to heretics.

Episode 1
Konzen Dōji brings the monkey demon Son Goku to live in Heaven. Goku befriends the War Prince, Nataku, and unleashes his uncontrollable power after Nataku's death. Konzen Dōji, Goku, and their friends Tenpō and Kenren must battle Heaven's armies while they attempt to flee to the Lower World.
Episode 2
Konzen, Goku, Tenpō, and Kenren continue in their attempt to flee Heaven for the Lower World.
Episode 3
Konzen, Goku, Tenpō, and Kenren's attempt to flee Heaven for the Lower World comes to a conclusion.
Kōga no Shō
Moving back in time, Tenpō recounts the Heavenly Western Army First Unit's adventures.
