The true story of Mike Bungay QC. A walking disaster to many and a genius to others, he would become one of the most flamboyant and outrageous characters of New Zealand legal history.
Episode 2
Mike finds himself with the case of a lifetime in having to defend Bill Sutch for spying, a case that will propel him to even greater fame as his drinking and personal life begin to take their toll.
Episode 3
Mike’s fame grows with a book about to be published and further high profile cases garnering even more attention only to be decked by a heart attack that exposes his ongoing messy personal life.
Episode 4
The cases continue to stoke Bungay’s notoriety, working against the gangs, irreverently standing for parliament and meeting the girl of his dreams.
Episode 5
During the progress of another unexpected murder trial, Mike goes all out to win Ronda over only to discover that his flaws won’t vanish because he’s found love.
