Synopsis
Estranged foster-brothers Stephen and Andrew vie to take over the family business following the death of their father.

After the loss of his father, Stephen is preparing to take over the family business but on the day of the funeral there is an unexpected mourner at the graveside whose reappearance changes everything.
Episode 2
After Andrew is left a share of the business in Laurie's will, he and Stephen have very different ideas about how to clear the pub's debts.
Episode 3
Now he has a stake in the family business, Andrew decides to make drastic changes to the John Barleycorn pub in order to try and bring in a younger crowd.
Episode 4
The foster-brothers are visiting the pub's suppliers and spreading news of Laurie's death. In trying to help Stephen get over Alison, Andrew reveals a shocking truth. Geoff has been left in charge of the pub and takes it back to the 70s.
Episode 5
The family set about clearing up after the disastrous pub fire, and Stephen makes some quite startling discoveries about life, death and Andrew.
Episode 6
Andrew has transformed the pub and a party is held for what would have been Laurie's 69th birthday, but Stephen finds out some big news about Andrew.
