A Bold Move
Mike Holmes has helped hundreds of homeowners over the years, but now the homeowner who needs his help is his son MJ. MJ wants to renovate his tiny bungalow so he and his girlfriend Lisa can have a place of their own to start a family. Of course, MJ’s modest renovation plans are turned upside down by Mike’s ambitious plans.
Moving up in the World
MJ's plan for the hot tub are dented by cracks in the foundation. Mike oversees the new walls on the second floor. MJ decides to not tarp the roof, which dampens Mike's mood.
Decisions, Decisions...
Mike and MJ team up to tackle the exterior of the home before illness strikes the crew. With Mike out sick, MJ has to make some critical decisions without his dad.
Distractions and Disagreements
Tensions run high as Mike and MJ engage in a revolving door of disagreements over hardwood flooring, exterior brick, and a lively debate about dishwashers. MJ and Lisa prepare for a romantic weekend getaway. Meanwhile, Mike takes over the job site, with some frustrating consequences for MJ.
Trouble at the Finish
It’s the finishing stages, but the end is not in sight for MJ, as he runs into financial set backs, tiling troubles with Lisa, and door debates with his dad. As tensions mount, MJ must come to a decision that has repercussions for the completion of his home.
Holmes Sweet Home
Emotions are high as MJ delivers his custom table to an unsuspecting friend. Then, after months in the making, it’s all Holmes on deck as everyone pitches in for the final push to complete the house before the big reveal.
