Synopsis
Escape Into Night is a six-part 1972 British children's fantasy horror television serial produced by Associated Television for ITV. Bedridden young Marianne doodles an imaginary house in her notepad — and soon the line between dreams and reality blurs.

Marianne Austin is bored. Stuck in bed after a riding accident, she finds life is dragging - until she discovers a pencil in her great-grandmother's workbox. When she draws, a weird dream invades her waking life...
Episode 2
The mystery of The House deepend. Its whispering secrets and the unaccountable precense of Mark puzzle and disturb Marianne. It's all a dream and she can make it vanish - or can she?
Episode 3
Marianne knows that Mark is not just a figure of her dreams. When Miss Chesterfield beings her news that the real-life Mark is in danger, Marianne knows that she must help him, but how? The drawing book is the key, but first Marianne must discover how to control its power.
Episode 4
What is the secret of Marianne's strange behaviour? Mrs. Austen blames Miss Chesterfield.
Episode 5
The fight is on to get Mark walking again. Caught between the threatening boulders and his own physical weakness, Mark knows he is in a desparate race against time.
Episode 6
Marianne and Mark know that time has run out. They must get away, but between them and safety lie the boulders and the threat that the dream will stop before it is resolved.
